From the relations in Photo 6, mass changes can be calculated for the Eskay rhyolite. Extreme variations in silica, Mg and K occur within the upper 20-30 metres of the rhyolite. The K is mainly in the form of sericite beneath the deposit, but K-feldspar is common further away.
